Trade Exchange is a supply
chain management and optimization solution. It provides the platform
to effectively manage complex collaborative business processes.
Through Trade Exchange, suppliers and manufacturers in all industries
can trade with their supply chain partners using the RosettaNet
standards for B2B interaction.
There are a number of modules within Trade Exchange including:
Finance Module
Orders and Logistics Module
VMI Module
Buyer Module
Production Planning Module
The Finance Module allows you to electronically manage the invoicing
process. All your invoices will be sent via your Trade Exchange
to your trading partner's Finance Module where it will be processed.
This allows for invoices to be submitted in real-time securely and
seamlessly with one click and then approved or rejected immediately,
therefore, greatly increasing the speed of invoicing. In addition,
these electronically sent invoices reduce the level of invoice discrepancy.
The Orders and Logistics Module allows you to electronically manage
the order and material receipt process with your customer. Order
Management through Trade Exchange means acceptance and rejection
of purchase orders can be submitted in real-time securely and seamlessly
with one click, therefore, greatly increasing the speed of order
management. Also, changes can be seen and attended to quickly and
efficiently resulting in faster order processing with high data
integrity and faster responses. This module also allows you to view
Goods Receipt Notifications for the tracking of goods shipped. With
this, there is greater control and full view of the fulfilment process
in the supply chain, which produces real time visibility of the
trading position.
The VMI Module allows Vendor Managed Inventory Suppliers to manage
material flow from their hubs to their VMI operator on site. With
better scheduling and management of all material deliveries into
the factory or manufacturing plant, the VMI module provides a cost-effective
linkage between all the parties. Improved data availability between
VMI supplier at Hub and Factory as well as a more efficient call
off from VMI factory to VMI Hub lead to greater control and a fuller
view of the fulfillment process in the supply chain. This level
of electronic communication between VMI Hub and Factory helps reduce
inventory costs on both sides. In addition, the improved visibility
of demand and real time visibility of the trading position allows
for proactive rather than reactive planning.
The Buyer Module shows the current position with all suppliers. It
gives the ability to see all the open purchase orders that are outstanding
with each of the suppliers. It shows the current forecast for all
items for a particular supplier and it shows the current commitment
against the forecast for each of the suppliers and provides and
audit trail for all interactions between the buyer and the supplier
including creation of purchase orders, approval of purchase orders
by the buyers management, sending of purchase orders, confirmation
of receipt of purchase order and deliver, forecast and shipments
against the purchase order.
The Production Planning Module allows you to identify parts shortages
for particular suppliers and to identify specific sales orders which
are impacted by these shortages. It provides a consolidated view
of shortages by vendor and also where possible identifies the estimated
time to fix part shortage issues. The production planning module
directly interfaces with the immediate production plan and allows
the production planner the ability to alter the scheduling of build
items based on the parts availability view. |
